    War3ft Installation Guide - FTP - cstrike

      Assumptions
      • You understand how to FTP files to your server (only needed if you are remotely connecting to your server). Need help?
      • You have a working Half-Life Dedicated Server (HLDS) installed. Need help?
      • You understand how to extract files from a zip file into a temporary directory. Need help?
      • <hlds_dir> refers to the default hlds installation directory. Need help?

      Copying the Server Files
      1. Download this file
      2. Extract the Contents of this file into a temporary directory on your computer
      3. Connect to the FTP server of your game server (if you are connecting remotely)
      4. Navigate to <hlds_dir>/cstrike/
      5. Upload/Move the folders that you extracted in step 2 to this directory. They are shown below in Figure 1.

      Server Configuration
      1. Find the liblist.gam file in hlds_dir/
      2. Download the liblist.gam file (if you are connecting remotely)
      3. Open this file in a text editor
      4. Find the following lines in this file (roughly lines 14-15)
        5. gamedll "dlls\mp.dll"
        gamedll_linux "dlls/cs_i386.so"
      5. Replace them with:
        6. gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll" gamedll_linux "addons/metamod/dlls/metamod_i386.so"
      6. Save this file
      7. Upload this file using your FTP client and choose to replace the original (if you are connecting remotely)


    Installation Complete, start your server and enjoy war3ft!
